The Chilled Distribution Centre at Waitrose's Bracknell headquarters is a 114,000 sq ft purpose-built facility that began delivering to branches in July 2010.

The scheme serves more than 60 Waitrose stores, handling up to 150,000 cases of chilled product.

Reconfiguration of the external site accommodated HGV movements, incorporating retaining-wall systems to resolve the existing ground levels. The building operates at chilled conditions throughout, delivered to a green specification: generating 20% of its energy on site, with waste heat and office cooling recycled directly from the refrigeration process.
