The 950,000 sq ft cross-dock operation provides 30 inbound and 40 outbound HGV docks, with 30,000 sq ft of office accommodation supporting inbound and outbound operations. UC held the Project Management, Employer's Agent and Cost Management appointment across the full delivery programme, coordinating design, procurement and construction to operational handover.

The project established UC's relationship with the John Lewis supply chain team and set the standard of delivery that carried directly into the MP3 programme. Built around automated HGS, high-bay and OSR systems across a four-level mezzanine, with a 13,670 sq ft link bridge connecting MP1 and MP2.

MP3 followed MP2, completing in April 2016. The facility provides 600,000 sq ft of primary warehouse space with a further 250,000 sq ft at mezzanine level, along with associated office and training facilities: one of the largest distribution centres in the John Lewis Partnership estate. UC provided Project Management and Cost Management across the full programme. Having delivered both MP2 and MP3, the team oversaw the complete build-out of the Partnership's Magna Park distribution campus across two consecutive schemes.
