Project & Cost Management, and Employer's Agent

Unite Students' first combined student, build-to-rent and affordable housing development in Scotland. Delivered on budget and on programme.

Burnet Point is a seven-storey, 13,500m2 mixed residential scheme in central Edinburgh, developed on a constrained city centre site bounded by a Network Rail line and existing residential properties on all sides.

UC provided project management and cost management, as well as Employer's Agent services, from inception through to the defects period. The development combines 298 student bedrooms, 66 build-to-rent apartments and 17 affordable homes operated by Hillcrest Homes. A 100m2 community space has been fitted out for future use by a local group or charity.

Trusted by Boots UK, we deliver expert construction and consultancy services across their retail network, ensuring consistent quality and value.

The scheme uses low-carbon concrete, timber composite construction, photovoltaic panels and air source heat pumps on a green roof system, targeting one of Unite's lowest carbon footprints across their new-build portfolio.

Roof terraces across the upper floors take advantage of views south to Arthur's Seat and west across the city centre, with landscaped communal courtyard space at ground level.
