Urgent pipework replacement works to an existing Unite property in Stratford, comprising 1,001 student rooms across four blocks (A to D) over multiple levels.

UC provided Employer's Agent, Project Management and Quantity Surveying services across a two-phase programme spanning two summers, covering Blocks A and B. Urgent remedial works were carried out to the existing heating and domestic hot and cold water distribution systems, revising system layouts and making alterations to prevent further pipework corrosion and leaking.

Water-damaged fire doors were replaced throughout, alongside other fabric repairs. In year two, much of the existing plant room equipment was replaced, including pumps, valves and plate exchangers, with further work carried out within the coach park beneath the building to repair leaks and adjust high-level pipework.
